Pratt & Whitney JT8D Heat Shield Martini or Coffee Table
This Pratt & Whitney Coffee Table sits beautifully at a commercial business in Miami, Florida.
The Pratt & Whitney JT8D engine made it's inaugural flight in 1963 and was widely popular among airline manufacturers of that time. It was used on airplanes such as Boeing 727 and 737 and McDonnell Douglas DC-9 and MD-80.
The heat shield was powder coated in candy apple blue and features a 1/2" tempered and star fire glass top and a custom 1/4" acrylic lexan base resting on a P&W JT8D engine stator. Starfire is a low iron glass that greatly reduces the green edge to a light teal.
